Robert has an economics degree from Cambridge University and has written about retail for the past 20 years, for a wide variety of publications including The Times and Drapers, as well as acting as editor for a daily global retail news service.

He has also worked as a senior retail analyst, producing reports for leading consumer and retail consultancies, including Verdict and Mintel, covering almost all sectors of retail.
